Prysmian Celebrates New 25,000 sq. ft. Distribution Warehouse in Canada

Prysmian, a world leader in the energy transition and digital transformation, recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its brand new distribution warehouse in Oshawa, Canada. This new facility, just steps from Prysmian’s Oshawa DrakaEHC Escalator Manufacturing plant, will allow Prysmian to offer extended hours, providing greater flexibility and convenience. 

“This facility is a great addition to our Canadian footprint and gives our employees an upgraded and modernized workplace,” said Richard Parvesse, Senior Vice President for DrakaEHC, Prysmian’s elevator & escalator business unit. “This investment not only benefits our employees but also enhances our service delivery, allowing us to streamline operations and extend our hours in a way that better supports our customers' needs.” 

The new 25,000-square-foot facility features a mezzanine and four shipping docks, with space reserved for a new office buildout anticipated in late 2025. The warehouse is equipped with new racking, shelving, and updated safety features that comply with current codes and regulations. 

In addition to celebrating the ribbon cutting, Prysmian hosted an employee open house, providing Oshawa employees with an opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the elevator and escalator products and services distributed through the warehouse.
