Our groundbreaking ±525 kV HVDC cable systems, featuring P-Laser and XLPE insulation, provide higher voltage capacity and larger conductor cross-sections. Moreover, our R&D labs have created a submarine cable with a new synthetic armor that is up to 50% lighter than traditional options. This advancement enables Prysmian to conduct ultra-deep installations of up to 3,000 meters in marine ecosystems that were previously considered unattainable.
