North America Leadership Team

Andrea Pirondini is the President and CEO of Prysmian North America, overseeing operations in Canada and the United States. Prior to this role, he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Prysmian, where he significantly contributed to the development of the company’s sustainability strategy and initiatives while managing all manufacturing operations. 

Before joining Prysmian, Pirondini was the Chief Commercial Officer at Pirelli Tire S.p.A. He started his career with the Pirelli Group in 1989, holding various positions across the U.K., Italy, Turkey, Russia, and Egypt. During his time in Turkey and Russia, he was responsible for managing manufacturing operations in those regions. Over his more than 25 years in the industry, Pirondini concentrated on restructuring the manufacturing footprint for both the Tire and Cable & Systems businesses. 

Andrea earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.

Richard Parvesse is the President of Draka EHC Elevator & Escalator. is the President of Draka EHC Elevator & Escalator. He has been with the company for over 20 years, having previously led the Industrial & Specialty business unit at Prysmian North America. Richard started his career as an Inside Sales Representative at the Okonite Company before moving into an outside sales position. 

In 2001, Richard joined Draka as a Regional Sales Manager. Over the years, he has held various sales and business management roles at Draka and continued in similar positions after the company was acquired by Prysmian in 2012. 

Richard earned his bachelor's degree from Rider University.

Alessandro Lijoi is the Canada Chief Country Officer for Prysmian North America. Alessandro began his career working in investment banking at Rothschild and Merrill Lynch before transitioning into a role at Prysmian. For nearly ten years, he has held various positions across the organization, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (leading the acquisition of General Cable and supporting the acquisition of Encore Wire), supply chain management, and commercial operations. In 2024, he assumed the role of Canada Chief Country Officer, responsible for the operations of Prysmian’s Canadian footprint. 

Alessandro earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan and holds a master’s degree in management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Paul Furtado is the Head of Operations for Prysmian North America. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Western New England College. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles, progressively increasing in scale and responsibility, starting from Supervisor and advancing to Plant Manager. After the acquisition of General Cable, he joined Prysmian as the Vice President of Manufacturing for the Telecom and Infrastructure (T&I) business unit. In this role, he successfully led the integration of General Cable's manufacturing operations into Prysmian, a complex process that required strategic planning and effective leadership. 

With over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, Paul is committed to the principle that sustained improvement is essential for success. He believes that such improvement is built on a foundation of employee involvement, commitment, and engagement.

Saskia Veerkamp leads Finance Administration & Control for Prysmian North America, drawing on her extensive international experience. After the acquisition of Draka, she played a crucial role in the integration activities and then served as CFO of Oceania for nearly five years while based in Australia. In 2016, she transitioned to the role of CFO for ASEAN in Singapore, and in 2019, she expanded her responsibilities to include Oceania once again. 

Outside of her professional life, Saskia is a devoted wife and mother of two children. Her Dutch roots and love for her family are essential parts of her identity.

Cheryl Stevens is the head of Information Technology at Prysmian North America. With over 20 years of experience at the Highland Heights office, she previously served as the Director of Applications for General Cable North America. During her time there, Cheryl led the IT efforts for seven acquisitions and three divestitures in the North American region. She and her team have designed and implemented software solutions across all business areas. In addition to their technical expertise, they possess strong skills in project management, Lean Sigma, and Agile development.

Bessie Williams is the Head of Purchasing for Prysmian North America. With nearly two decades of experience in global supply chain management and procurement, she possesses extensive knowledge that allows her to implement effective procurement strategies that yield sustainable results for the company. 

Bessie holds both a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Arkansas.

Valeria Garcia is the Head of Research and Development at Prysmian North America and an esteemed expert in her field. With over 30 years of experience, she began her career as the Development Materials Manager for Pirelli Cables in her native Brazil. Her extensive knowledge and dedication led to her appointment as Energy Engineering Manager, followed by her promotion to Chief Engineer of Energy and Telecom at Prysmian South America. 

Valeria is fluent in both Italian and English. She holds a degree in Chemistry Technology from the Technical School Walter Belian, a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo, and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Christina Trainor is the head of North America Human Resources. Christina's journey with the company began in 2010, and she continued to grow with us through the acquisition of General Cable in 2017. She has held various significant positions, including VP of Human Resources and Business Partner for Organization and Integration. Before her return to Prysmian, Trainor most recently served as the leader of HR services and strategy for Heidelberg Materials.

Christina earned a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Lander University.

Bob Hust is the head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Prysmian North America. With over 30 years of experience, he specializes in various areas of law, including contracts, warranties, product liability, litigation management, labor and employment, compliance, and intellectual property. 

Previously, Bob was a partner at Frost Brown Todd, where he chaired the General Counsel Services Group and the Automotive Industry Team. Before that, he served as General Counsel, Assistant Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Compliance Officer for Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. 

Bob holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and English from Ohio State University.

Heather Stolper is the head of Supply Chain for Prysmian North America. Her leadership journey began at General Cable in 2005 when she became the Plant Manager of the Automotive Assembly plant in Altoona, PA. In 2008, she took on the role of Plant Manager at the Telecom plant in Lawrenceburg, KY, which helped to further enhance her leadership skills. In 2011, Heather continued her career at General Cable's Corporate Headquarters, where she has held several leadership positions, including Vice President and Manufacturing Team Leader of Communications and Assembly operations, as well as Vice President of Supply Chain and Sourcing. 

Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute and an MBA from Ohio State University.

Anna Wright is the Vice President of Marketing and External Communications at Prysmian North America. She has had an impressive career journey that began as a television news anchor and reporter for various stations throughout the Midwest, including WKRC-TV Local 12 in Cincinnati. Her successful transition from the news industry to the corporate world showcases her adaptability and strong leadership skills, which instill confidence in her audience. Throughout her career, Anna has held positions at prominent organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Dinsmore & Shohl, and Northern Kentucky University. 

Anna earned her degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.

 

Brian DiLascia is the head of Power Distribution at Prysmian North America and has been a key figure in the company for over 20 years. His journey began after he completed the Pirelli Cables and Systems Graduate Program, where he worked as an industrial engineer at Pirelli's facility in Lexington, SC. Due to his outstanding performance, he was promoted to Director of Operations for Pirelli's factory near Vancouver. Brian's dedication and strategic vision were further recognized when he returned to Lexington as Vice President of Operations and later became the General Manager for Pirelli's fiber cable business in North America. 

Brian holds a bachelor's degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in operations management and industrial engineering from Cornell University.

Brian Moriarty is the head of the Industrial & Construction division at Prysmian North America. With over 25 years of sales experience, he is a seasoned professional in his field. His career began in 2008 when he joined General Cable as the Vice President of Specialty Sales, focusing on sectors such as oil and gas, nuclear, wind, solar, military, assembly, fiber, and transit. Due to his strong leadership skills, he was later appointed Vice President of both U.S. and North American sales. In 2015, he made a significant advancement in his career when he was named Senior Vice President of Global Sales at General Cable. 

Brian earned a bachelor's degree in Management from Saint Louis University.

Patrick Jacobi is the Head of Digital Solutions for Prysmian North America. He began his career at a logistics firm in Chicago, Illinois, and his journey quickly progressed to the General Motors subsidiary, Duramax Diesel. During his time in the automotive industry, he gained invaluable knowledge and experience. 

In 2009, Patrick transitioned to General Cable. Over the past decade, he has held various positions in sourcing, supply chain management, plant operations, and product management, demonstrating his consistent commitment to his roles. Before taking on his current position, Patrick served as the MMS Business Unit Lead and Commercial Operations Director. In these roles, he led the Product and Sales Management Teams for the North American Multi-Media Solutions business unit, reporting directly to the Head of Global Multi-Media Solutions. He also oversaw collaboration, strategy, and organizational efforts for the Telecom Solutions business. 

Patrick holds a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.

Nathan Kelley is the head of the High Voltage division at Prysmian North America and has been with the company for over 20 years. His career began at Pirelli, where he worked in Research and Development at the Lexington facility. He then spent eight years in the High Voltage office located in New Jersey. A significant milestone in his career was his return to Lexington, where he managed the engineering team responsible for the High Voltage Business Unit. In this role, he played a key part in overseeing many of the largest High Voltage cable projects conducted in North America. 

Nathan holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.

Max Livigni is a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in the cable industry, which gives him a unique global perspective. He began his career at Pirelli Cables in 2001, where he managed exports to cable distributors and wholesalers. In 2002, he transitioned to the Submarine Cable Division, taking on various roles in sales, business development, and project management on a global scale. In 2015, he became the CEO of Prysmian Finland, and most recently, he served as the Vice President of Global Sales for the Automotive Business Unit. 

Max holds a bachelor's degree in Business Studies from England and a Global Executive MBA from Bocconi University.

Matt Bedell is the head of Prysmian North America's Industrial & Specialty business. He started his career at General Cable in 2002, where he held various roles such as process engineer, operations manager, supply chain manager, and product manager. His leadership abilities were further enhanced when he became the Director of Commercial Operations for the North America Trade & Installers Business Unit. 

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a master's degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Kevin Cummings is the Head of Compliance for Prysmian North America. He oversees compliance efforts and coordinates global compliance audit activities, which are essential for our training and awareness programs. Kevin transitioned to his current role in 2019 after previously working in Internal Audit. 

Kevin began his career in 2015 at General Cable, where he served as the Integrated Internal Audit Manager. His work there focused on developing internal control frameworks and gaining a thorough understanding of financial, operational, and IT processes. Before joining General Cable, Kevin gained expertise in compliance and internal audit services while working at Deloitte and Protiviti. 

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Internal Auditor as well as a Risk Professional.
