Land High Voltage Direct Current Cable Solutions

As the leading company in land-based energy cable systems, Prysmian is dedicated to delivering maximum performance while minimizing environmental impact. Our strong focus on research and development, continuous technological innovation, and commitment to delivering the best total cost of ownership are rooted in our dedication to environmental sustainability. We offer a comprehensive range of products, solutions, and services for high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cable systems.

A Global Leader with Production Facilities Right Here in North America

Our facility in Abbeville, SC, is equipped with a vertical continuous-vulcanization line designed to produce high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) cables. This line was added in 2009 as part of a significant $46 million investment in the facility, featuring state-of-the-art technology for EHV production. This investment underscores our commitment to technological advancement and enhances our production capacity, enabling us to offer world-class products made in the U.S.A.

Since production began, the vertical continuous vulcanization line has supplied power cables to major utilities and industrial customers worldwide, supporting more than 300 projects. In total, we have produced approximately 6 million feet of high-voltage cable, which is roughly the distance between New York City and Tampa, FL.
