It provides a comprehensive range of services, including engineering, manufacturing, installation, and monitoring, further solidifying Prysmian's leadership in the interconnection and offshore wind farm sectors.

This vessel is designed to operate in waters up to 3,000 meters deep. Monna Lisa offers comparable capacity and performance to Leonardo da Vinci, while also incorporating environmentally friendly enhancements. These improvements include reduced CO2 emissions from the shore connection and an energy storage system with double the battery capacity.

Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci is one of Prysmian's most efficient cable-laying vessels. It features a large carousel capacity and strong bollard pull, enabling it to operate for extended periods in challenging weather conditions and at great depths. Additionally, Leonardo da Vinci is a cutting-edge vessel designed for sustainable performance, which helps minimize its environmental footprint.

Marco Polo

Marco Polo is a DP2 vessel designed for challenging cable installation projects worldwide. It has two static tanks, each with a 950-ton capacity, and an 8-point mooring system capable of withstanding 100 tons of tension, making it suitable for laying power cables in shallow waters.

With an operational endurance of 90 days and a top speed of over 11.5 knots, the vessel accommodates 100 personnel and offers comfortable living conditions and recreational facilities, including a gym, auditorium, game room, and officers' lounge.

Giulio Verne

Giulio Verne is a DP2 cable-laying vessel designed for the most challenging subsea operations worldwide. With a carousel capacity of 7,000 tons, this vessel can lay power cables to depths of up to 1,600 meters. Its primary purpose is to execute complex power cable installation projects.

Giulio Verne is suitable for a wide range of subsea and offshore projects, from shallow waters to deep sea. The vessel has an impressive track record across various subsea construction projects and is recognized in the market as a reliable, robust unit capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions.

Cable Enterprise

Cable Enterprise is a DP2 cable-laying vessel equipped with nearly 8 MW of power, enabling it to maintain its position autonomously even in harsh weather conditions. The vessel is capable of performing simultaneous cable laying and burial operations using any type of plow, including HD3 plows that exert up to 180 tons of tension.

Cable Enterprise is designed to operate in very shallow waters and features a 7-point independent mooring system, allowing it to meet stringent operational requirements. It is also equipped with a Wärtsilä NOx-reducing system on all four Wärtsilä engines, achieving a 75% reduction in NOx emissions from baseline levels.

Ulisse

Ulisse is a cable-laying vessel designed for beaching and shallow-water operations. It features a controlled-tension 8-point mooring positioning system and an independent 140-ton pulling anchor, allowing it to meet stringent operational requirements. The vessel can perform simultaneous cable-laying and burial operations using various tools, including a vertical injector, rock saw, and Prysmian Hydroplough.

Barbarossa

Barbarossa is a specialized cable installation barge designed to operate in shallow water areas. It features a 4-point mooring system with a primary pull-ahead winch. The main tool utilized on the barge will be the vertical injector, but it can also support a variety of other operations, including the use of the SeaREX trenching tool for beach operations.

Prysmian Submarine Power Cable Burial Tools

With years of experience and ongoing innovation in submarine cable installation, we have established the most extensive range of advanced installation capabilities and burial tools available worldwide. Our expertise in executing submarine cable installations is unparalleled.

Sea Mole

Sea Mole offers advanced trenching capabilities for burying cables at depths of up to 3.0 meters. As a high-powered, class-leading Trenching Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), Sea Mole boasts 1200 horsepower and utilizes either high-flow or high-pressure water jetting to optimize trenching based on seabed conditions.

The vehicle can be equipped with a rear eductor or backwash swords to improve cable burial in specific soil types. It is designed to maintain a burial depth of up to 2.5 meters, even in strong soil conditions. Additionally, Sea Mole is fitted with Teledyne Dual Track TSS440 & TSS350 systems, enabling it to provide real-time burial data to ensure that project objectives are met promptly.

Hydroplow

The Hydroplow is a machine designed to lay and bury cables simultaneously. It operates by using pulling forces from the cable-laying vessel and fluidizing seabed materials with high-pressure water from nozzles on the stinger. This allows the Hydroplow to move with controlled towing forces.

Cables are fed from the laying vessel into a funnel on the stinger's top, using a hydraulic, diverless-operated opening system. A safety lock prevents accidental opening and ensures stability during launch and recovery.

HD3 Plough

The Heavy Duty HD3 Plow is a technologically advanced tool based on a proven, industry-accepted design, with several units already in operation today. It is specifically designed to bury large-diameter cables that require large bend radii, making it suitable for flexible pipes.

Key features of the HD3 Plow include subsea jet-assisted plowing, which minimizes bollard pulls in sandy environments, and a subsea crane that facilitates remote loading and unloading.

The HD3 Plow is compatible with both single- and bundled-cable configurations and comes standard with a high level of instrumentation and surveillance equipment.

Otter

The Otter is a remotely operated vehicle designed for burying subsea cables in shallow water environments. It is typically powered and operated from a surface support vessel and can function in water depths of up to 50 meters. The control system allows the vehicle to be positioned at any convenient location on the host vessel. The umbilical system consists of an electrical control umbilical and three hydraulic hoses.

SeaRex

The SeaRex is a versatile tracked trencher that can function as both a pre-lay and post-lay burial system. It consists of four cassettes: a pre-lay jetting cassette, a pre-lay chain cutting cassette, a pre/post chain cutter, and a pre/post wheel cutting cassette. When operating in jetting configuration, the SeaRex can create a trench up to 3 meters deep, while in mechanical cutting configuration, it can achieve a trench depth of up to 2.5 meters. Additionally, the SeaRex is equipped with fore-and-aft cable handling and lifting systems, along with roller assemblies for subsea loading.
