General Cable, one of three distinct commercial brands (Prysmian, Draka and General Cable) of the Prysmian Group, is excited to introduce its new SunGen® Global Photovoltaic Wire at the annual Solar Power International (SPI) tradeshow in Anaheim, CA from Sept. 25-27. Featuring dual-listed certifications from EN 50618 (1500VDC) and UL 4703, SunGen® Global is the ideal solution for a range of solar power energy applications.

“We are pleased to expand our current portfolio of SunGen® solar products to include a product that supports both EN and UL listings,” said Jessica Koester, Solar Market Manager at Prysmian Group. “This latest innovation reaffirms General Cable’s commitment to achieving industry-leading standards and responding proactively to environmental issues facing our globe.”

Key advancements in materials, design and manufacturing set SunGen® Global apart from other domestic suppliers. SunGen®’s dual rating enables domestic OEMs to reach global markets while reducing working capital and supply chain complexities, thereby eliminating the need for OEMs to invest in and manage multiple inventories. SunGen® Global is not only tested to be dual-listed and fully compliant with EN/UL standards but is also halogen-free. By leveraging cutting-edge expertise and dedicated customer service, General Cable’s SunGen® Global wire is poised to meet the rapidly changing needs of the renewable energy market.
