Prysmian Group Team Members to Speak at Upcoming Fall 2018 PES-ICC Meeting
Team members from Prysmian Group North America, a world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industries, will be presenting at the upcoming Fall 2018 PES-ICC Meeting in Orlando, FL, from October 28 – 31. This meeting brings together experts from across the wire and cable industry to speak on topics ranging from cable installation to quality control to raw material usage.
Knowledge experts work together to recommend practices and standards for the design, manufacturing, testing, operation and maintenance of insulated cables usually associated with utility power systems.
The Insulated Conductors Committee (ICC) holds meetings twice a year at locations throughout North America, where it develops and services the standards and hosts informative technical sessions featuring presentations by industry experts.
The ICC – one of the committees of the IEEE Power & Energy Society – is focused on developing and servicing IEEE technical guides, recommended practices and standards for the design, manufacturing, testing, operation and maintenance of insulated cables, including high voltage transmission and distribution cables usually associated with utility power systems, commercial and industrial wire, and their related accessories and subsystems.
Prysmian Group speakers and topics include:
- Mark Fenger, Dielectrics Engineer speaking on “Condition Assessment of Aged SCFF & HPFF Cables via On-Line and Off-Line PD Measurements”
- Nigel Wigfall, High Voltage System Design Engineer speaking on “Cable Installation in Vertical Shaft”
- Bill Wolfe, Director of Network Components for North America speaking on “Temperature Stability of Constant Force Springs Under Current Loading”
- Jamie Garcia, HV/EHV System Engineer speaking on “Pulling Demonstration of a Pipe Type Retrofit System”
- Bill Temple, Director of Application Engineering speaking on “Raw Materials – EPR Compounding & Packaging” and “Quality Control - Qualification Testing”
