PowrServ® OH Duplex Neutral-Supported Cable Type NS75 (Canada)
The Duplex NS75 Service Drop Cable consists of a single compact aluminum conductor insulated with Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). This conductor is twisted around a bare, compact ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) stranded neutral conductor, which serves as the supporting neutral.
The Triplex NS75 cable consists of two insulated conductors and a bare neutral. In contrast, the Quadruplex NS75 includes three insulated conductors around a bare neutral.
The NS75 Service Drop Cable is CSA Certified and complies with the requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 129 and CAN/CSA C61089 standards, as applicable.
Insulated Conductors: The insulated conductors are made from Class A, smooth-body, compact 1350-H19 (full hard) aluminum stranding.
Insulation: The standard insulation is black, sunlight-resistant Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) rated to -40°C.
Bare Neutral: The bare neutral conductors are ACSR stranded conductors that are also Class A, smooth-body, and compact-stranded. The direction of lay for the outer layer is right-hand. ACSR neutral conductors of 266.8 kcmil and larger are designed as concentric round conductors per CAN/CSA C61089.
Phase Identification: Phase identification is indicated by white print legend markings on one of the black phase conductors and three longitudinal red stripes on the second black phase conductor. In Quadruplex cables, the third black phase conductor will have three blue stripes. All cables feature sequential print markings for easy identification.
