Prysmian to Showcase Latest Innovations at the FTTH 2018
SVP Vanhille: “We are committed to creating the most advanced technology of the highest quality”.
Prysmian Group, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, will showcase its latest innovations for quality, future proof networks at FTTH Conference 2018, taking place February 13-15 in Valencia.
Prysmian will be in the spotlight at this year's conference as Group representatives take part in two separate speaking sessions. Philippe Vanhille, Senior Vice President of Telecom Business, will take part in the session “Fibre for 5G: wire-less becoming wire-more”, describing the importance of investing in a quality and future-proof passive network in order to avoid disruptions and service interruptions, optimizing costs of today and tomorrow. Alain Bertaina, Business Development & Product Strategy Director, will then take part in the “Voice of the Industry” session, discussing fibre ubiquity at the heart of network transformation and how smart infrastructure innovations are cornerstones for service innovations.
“Fibre is being called on for a variety of applications due to increasing network demand,” commented Vanhille. “As the leaders in the industry of energy and telecom cable systems, our aim is not only to advance in providing new innovative cable designs, but to offer a complete network solution, including jointing and connectivity products. At this year’s FTTH Conference, we look forward to sharing all of the hard work we’ve been doing over the past few years to support quality, future-proof networks.”
Prysmian Group continues to develop and provide cutting edge products to meet the evolving needs of its customers and the telecom cable industry. On show at the company’s stand at FTTH Conference – where live cable jointing demonstrations will be available throughout the day – will be the FlexTube®, which features 2112 fibres, the highest fibre count for a flexible micromodule-based cable to be installed to date. It is designed to be extremely compact, light-weight and flexible and also much faster to install, enabling service providers to easily deploy record number of fibres in difficult or congested areas.
Being partner of choice for main telecom operators, Prysmian supports its customers in the realisation of some of their most important projects where quality of products and innovative cabling solutions are fundamental to meet the increasingly demanding needs of modern broadband networks. Moreover, Prysmian also provides products that ensure quality installation and premium performance, making the working life of an installer easier than ever before.
“Prysmian delivers quality products and systems for quality networks, thanks to our truly global expertise, our focus on innovation, and working closely with our customers,” said Vanhille. “We are committed to creating the most advanced FTTH technology of the highest quality, and we look forward to keep on helping our customers to find the best balance between their capex of today and their opex of tomorrow.”
Vanhille’s speaking session, “Fibre for 5G: wire-less becoming wire-more”, will take place on February 14th at 2:30pm in Conference Room 2, while Bertaina’s presentation, “Network innovations that will underpin the Gigabit society”, is set to take place on February 15th at 9:30am in Conference Room 3.
