Prysmian, a world leader in the energy transition and digital transformation, will showcase its sustainable innovations and groundbreaking technologies that drive positive change within the industry at the 2025 DISTRIBUTECH® energy transmission and distribution event in Dallas, Texas on March 24 – 27, 2025.

A leader in sustainability and innovation, Prysmian will be highlighting its cutting-edge solutions that will produce a more resilient, safe and modernized grid.

“We are excited to join our fellow industry leaders at DISTRIBUTECH to showcase our latest advancements in innovative and sustainable energy solutions,” said Maura Nespoli, Vice President of Sales for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Solutions, Power Distribution for Prysmian North America. "At Prysmian, we are committed to driving positive change within the industry and proud to work with our partners to produce  cutting-edge solutions that will ensure a more reliable and sustainable energy future."

Prysmian’s participation in this year’s DISTRIBUTECH event includes an update to the hands-free power cable splicing machine operating in underground vaults to increase the reliability of the network and reduce energy losses due to splice failures. This innovative solution revolutionizes the splicing process by ensuring uninterrupted grid delivery and enhancing human safety.

Along with utility partners Con Edison and Exelon, Prysmian will be hosting a Knowledge Hub Roundtable Session on its new underground cable splicing technology innovation on Wednesday, Mach 26, 2025.

In February 2024, Prysmian received $4.5 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) to develop the groundbreaking splicing machine as part of the Grid Overhaul with Proactive, High-speed Undergrounding for Reliability, Resilience, and Security (GOPHURRS) program. This award was the largest allocation of GOPPHURS funding, demonstrating the immense value of the automated splicing machine development.

Prysmian will also showcase other innovations in sustainable technology and energy solutions, such as its ALESEA reel tracking, Green Overhead Conductors, PRY-CAM testing and monitoring technology and E3X® Robot System, an innovative robotic application of a heat-dissipating coating to existing overhead power lines. In addition, Prysmian’s unique Renewables+ and E Path programs will also be showcased during the event – highlighting the bundled product offering and availability for wind and solar energy projects through Renewables+, along with the industry’s first label for verified sustainable products through E Path.

DISTRIBUTECH attendees can learn more about Prysmian and its cabling solutions by visiting Booth #3941 or at na.prysmian.com.
