Prysmian Selected to Provide University of Cincinnati with Cutting-Edge Telecom Solutions
Prysmian, a world leader in the energy transition and digital transformation, has been selected to provide cutting-edge fiber cable solutions to the University of Cincinnati (UC) effective July 1, 2024.
UC made the switch after a thorough review of their requirements, opting for PanGen® fiber for all new installations on campus and GenSPEED® as the main option on 4pr copper cables.
"We are thrilled to partner with the University of Cincinnati and bring our world-class products to their campus," said Chris Meyer, regional sales manager, Prysmian North America. "This is a significant achievement for our team and an excellent opportunity to showcase our capabilities right in our own backyard."
Prysmian’s North American headquarters are located less than 10 miles from the UC campus. Prysmian continues to work with UC to recruit top talent through internships and full-time employment, keeping the greater Cincinnati area as home to many UC students and graduates.
This collaboration highlights a strategic partnership formed with Panduit twenty years ago, as Panduit and Prysmian formed the PanGen® alliance, pairing the innovation and expertise of two structured cabling industry leaders. PanGen delivers a full portfolio of robust and optimized infrastructure cabling solutions, including Category 6A, 6, and 5e copper and fiber cabling systems with Panduit network connectivity and Prysmian GenSPEED cable products.
Throughout the agreement with UC, Prysmian is expected to provide 4PR, 6A and 6p copper as well as 24, 48, 72, 96, and 144 strand fiber through distribution partners Anixter and Graybar.
