AIRGUARD® XP Fiber Optic Cable

AIRGUARD® XP combines top-notch mechanical protection, chemical resistance, and user-friendly design in a robust family of industrial optical fiber cables. It complements Prysmian’s existing AIRGUARD® low voltage and medium voltage cable offerings. 

In harsh industrial environments, aggressive chemicals such as hydrocarbons, solvents, acids, and bases can damage traditional fiber cables. However, AIRGUARD® XP is designed to withstand these tough conditions. In fact, the AIRGUARD® XP family exceeds the stringent UL 2556 requirements for oil and gasoline resistance. 

Additionally, AIRGUARD® XP competes with interlocking armored cables in terms of impact and crush resistance. Unlike interlocking armor, which is made of metal, making it stiff, heavy, and requiring grounding, the AIRGUARD® XP all-dielectric versions avoid these drawbacks. They can be installed alongside copper communication or power cables in trays or ladders, providing greater flexibility and user-friendliness.
