Our Suppliers

Ethical Purchasing

Our businesses rely on international supply chains that involve multiple tiers. We are dedicated to collaborating with our suppliers, partners, and peers to promote responsible and ethical behavior, as well as uphold high standards throughout our supply chain. This commitment is essential for ensuring the safety of everyone involved in our operations and maintaining the integrity of our business practices.

At Prysmian, we are focused on developing a sustainable value chain. This commitment is highlighted by our adoption of a Code of Business Conduct, which serves as the foundation of our responsible business practices. This code ensures that ethical, economic, environmental, and social standards are maintained throughout our value chain.

Prysmian is committed to proactively assessing our suppliers' adherence to the principles outlined in this policy through a structured process supported by audits. This proactive approach aims to prevent any violations and, when necessary, take decisive action to address any issues related to human rights, reinforcing our dedication to ethical practices.

At Prysmian, we take our Code of Business Conduct very seriously. If any violations of these principles occur, we reserve the right to reconsider our future commercial partnerships with the involved business partners. This reflects our unwavering commitment to ethical business practices.

As a key player in the global electronics industry, we recognize the risks associated with "conflict minerals" and are actively working to address these issues. Conflict minerals refer to certain raw materials used in our products, and we are committed to responsible sourcing practices. Our commitment includes the following actions to promote a transparent and secure mineral trading environment:

  1. Identifying materials and semi-finished products containing tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (3TG).

  2. Collecting information from all our recurring suppliers about the origin of the conflict minerals used in their processes, in accordance with international standards.

  3. Analyzing the data received and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Through these efforts, we aim to ensure responsible sourcing and contribute to a conflict-free mineral supply chain.

Prysmian is firmly committed to eliminating child labor from its supply chain. We strictly follow the principles outlined in ILO Conventions Nos. 138 and 182, which define hazardous work as any activity that may harm a child's physical, mental, or moral well-being. Such work is strictly prohibited for individuals under the age of 18.

Prysmian is dedicated to providing young workers with decent working conditions and ensuring the safety and protection of children in all our business activities and facilities. Additionally, we actively support community and government initiatives that aim to protect and promote children's rights.
