Legal entity Integration and Rebranding
Prysmian Group is excited to announce the formal entity merger between General Cable Industries, Inc. and Prysmian Cables and Systems USA, LLC in the United States. Effective January 1, 2022, all Companies in the region will adopt the legal entities name of Prysmian Group US. The goal of the integration is a rationalization of all legal entities. Following the acquisition of General Cable Corporation and its subsidiaries by Milan-based Prysmian in 2018, this represents the final steps in the creation of a well-integrated organization under a unique brand in the region with 27 manufacturing facilities, eight distribution centers, six R&D centers, over 5,800 employees and the widest portfolio of products, services and technologies that set the highest standards in the industry.

Following the recent announcements to invest $100 million over the next two and a half years to boost the capacity of its U.S. Power Distribution plants as well as an $85 million investment in major equipment and technology updates to its Telecom plants, Prysmian Group consolidates its position to support the important infrastructure upgrades for a new, clean, and resilient energy grid and to support the broadband infrastructure development and 5G deployment in the region. These investments will upgrade and expand manufacturing capacity, equipment, and technology and reinforce the Group’s footprint in the U.S.
