ULTROL® 60+ cable solutions for Generation III+ and Legacy nuclear power facilities

ULTROL® 60+ cables are designed to deliver reliable low- and medium-voltage power for efficient power production, distribution, control and communications in nuclear facilities. Product Range

ULTROL 60+ medium voltage power cables offer superior performance in utility power generating plants and other industrial three-phase applications. With a Class 1E rating and explicitly designed for applications in nuclear-generating stations, these cables are available in versions for 5kV, 8kV, and 15kV.

Low-Voltage SIS Switchboard Wire – Type SIS & Type SIS/XHHW-2
ULTROL 60+ SIS 600 V, Class 1E-rated switchboard wire is designed for use in Class 1E low-voltage applications in the operation and interconnection of protective devices where optimum performance is required and where flame retardancy is critical.

Low-Voltage Power Cable – Type RHH/RHW-2
ULTROL 60+ 600 V, Class 1E-rated low-voltage power cables are designed specifically for use in Class 1E low-voltage power and lighting functions where optimum performance and flame retardancy are critical. They are available in heavy-wall and dual-wall versions to match the required jacket protection.

Low-Voltage Thermocouple Extension Cable
The ULTROL 60+ 600 V thermocouple extension cable is 600 V with Class 1E-rated construction. It is specifically designed for use on critical circuits where total isolation between pairs and from external interference is required.

Low-Voltage Power Cable – Type TC-ER
ULTROL 60+ 600 V power cable with a Class 1E-rated construction specifically designed for use in Class 1E power distribution and control circuits for power lighting, control and signal circuits.

ULTROL 60+ instrumentation cable is a 600V multiconductor, thermoset, Class 1-rated construction specifically designed for use in Class 1E monitoring, data recording, and transmitting information on circuits. It comes in constructions with varying levels of shielding, depending on the necessary level of protection against external electrostatic interference.

Prysmian offers rugged yet lightweight cable constructions built to conform to industry standards and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines. The cables are made of materials that meet IEEE 383, IEEE 1202, and other flame ratings commonly used in the nuclear industry. They are available in an array of fiber types, including single-mode and multi-mode varieties and specialty fibers such as BendBright® bend-insensitive and radiation-resistant fiber.
