FAR 25 compliance
Each type of aerospace cable is meticulously designed to meet the safety standards outlined in Federal Aviation Regulation Part 25 (FAR 25), which address flammability, smoke density, and toxicity. Selecting the right materials is essential to ensure that the cables, to the greatest extent possible, do not aid in fire propagation. Another important factor is
Arc-Tracking Resistance, which measures the cables' ability to resist electrical tracking. This assessment helps us understand the implications for the development of new airframe wires.
