Prysmian Group North America Recognized as a Midlands Green Business

Prysmian Group North America has been designated as a Midlands Green Business by the County of Lexington. The award recognizes Prysmian’s adoption of sustainable and eco-friendly business practices in the Midlands region, inclusive of pollution prevention and air quality control, waste reduction and recycling, and energy and water conservation.

Founded in 2010, the Midlands Green Business program is a joint initiative between the City of Columbia, Lexington County, Richland County and Keep the Midlands Beautiful to encourage businesses to improve their environmental footprint while enhancing their bottom line. The program is designed to recognize companies like Prysmian Group, for consistently adopting eco-friendly business practices, making the Midlands a cleaner, happier place to live.

As a leading force within the energy and telecom sector, Prysmian Group has been globally recognized for its sustainable focus on The STOXX Global ESG Leaders Index along with the FTSE4Good Global Index. Prysmian Group received its certificate as a Midlands Green Business from the SC Waste Management committee at a recent Lexington City Council meeting. As a member of the Midlands Green Business program, Prysmian will have access to sustainable mentors, Green Business workshops, networking events and other valuable resources throughout the region.
