PowrNet: The Sustainable Choice for Modernizing Secondary Networks
With its Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen (LSZH) jacket, PowrNet is designed to meet the demands of modernizing secondary networks. As energy consumption continues to rise in densely populated urban areas, existing power and secondary networks must operate under increasingly challenging conditions. Prysmian is at the forefront of this trend, offering the highly engineered PowrNet cable to tackle the challenges of demanding urban environments.
Installation Performance
Prysmian has designed PowrNet for installation in both ducts and direct burial, ensuring reliability and ease of installation. It features a low coefficient of friction, enhanced tear strength, and exceptional flexibility, making it ideal for challenging installation conditions.
Environmental Performance
As aging urban electrical networks strive to meet modern electrical demand, utility engineers face the challenge of finding affordable, reliable, and safe solutions. PowrNet addresses this with its low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket, which significantly reduces smoke and gas emissions during a fire. Its track-resistant design also minimizes combustible gases generated by electrical leakage in harsh environments with salts, oils, and chemicals. Additionally, PowrNet cables are engineered to resist flame propagation, ensuring high safety and performance in extreme conditions.
