Bostrig™ Type P-MR Power Cable

Bostrig Type P Mud-Resistant Cable is specifically engineered for power, control, signal, and instrumentation applications in marine vessels and offshore production facilities. Unlike conventional cables that use Polychloroprene (Neoprene), this cable is sheathed in a unique elastomeric formulation that offers mud resistance and meets the Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) standards according to IEEE 45 and IEEE 1580. 

The mud-resistant jacket is designed for environments where ester-based drilling muds and fluids are present. These cables are listed by ETL in compliance with IEEE 45 and are type-approved for resistance to NOVA Plus, Petrofree LE, and Petrofree drilling muds and fluids. The cables underwent testing in accordance with NEK 606 for 56 days at 70°C in the specified ester-based muds.
