Graduate Program Build the Future

What is Build the Future?

Build the Future is the Prysmian Graduate Program, and 2026 will mark our 15th edition!

We are looking for talented individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are eager to contribute to a more sustainable world. If you are excited about taking on new challenges and making a difference, this is your opportunity to impact our communities' energy transition and digitalization.

Join our global team and help us build a better future for everyone!

The program offers two distinct paths: the Global Build the Future, which provides a 3-year international experience, and the Empower Your Community path, where you will work in the region where you were hired. More details are provided below.

Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Our Graduate Program offers an immersive experience at our company from day one.

The program begins with a two-week Global Induction, featuring training and activities led by the Prysmian Academy in collaboration with a top-ranking business school.

After the induction, you will take part in a one-year job rotation across three different departments: Research and Development, Operations (based at one of our production sites), and Sales Support/Technical Sales. This first year will be spent in the country where you were hired. Following the initial year of rotations, you will embark on an international assignment that lasts for three years.

In your third year, if you are part of the Global Build the Future Program, you will continue with the international assignment. If you are part of the Local Empower Your Community Program, you will assume a local role in North America. In both cases, you will be assigned to a technical role at one of our production sites, closely linked to the core of our business. You will learn new ways of working, acquire new knowledge, and experience different cultures.

At the end of your international assignment, when you return to the country you were hired in, you will continue your career at Prysmian in the same area or in a new one, depending on your performance and available development opportunities.

Who are you?

  • You are enthusiastic about starting a career in our industry and are prepared to take on a new challenge.
  • You have either graduated in the last 18 months or are currently completing a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or Business and Economics.
  • As a global company, fluency in English is essential.
  • You have experience working or studying abroad and are open to an international opportunity with Prysmian.
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills. You enjoy learning from and collaborating with colleagues.

Questions & Answers

After your local onboarding, you will join an induction that will give you an overview of our business and our products. This induction is a great chance to network, and you will also meet our CEOs and business leaders. You will receive an excellent overview of the company and our products and technology. Your training, which is organized by the prestigious Prysmian Academy in collaboration with a top-ranking business school, will continue throughout the program. You will also participate in different business games and training sessions with our senior managers.

During the rotations, participants can explore different fields and develop their careers within Prysmian. We will consider your qualifications, interests, feedback on the rotations, and the business needs to find a role that best fits you. You can also express a geographical preference for the international assignment; however, the available positions will determine the location of the international assignment.

During rotations, each participant should start building an idea of which field they want to work in the following years of the program and during international assignments. Prysmian will take an individualized approach to find a fitting role for each graduate, considering the qualifications, interests, rotation feedback, and business needs. Participants can express a geographical preference for the international assignment, but the available positions will define the location.

At the end of their rotation year, the graduate program participant will receive a proposal outlining the best area that matches their expectations regarding career growth and availability in the company. This proposal could lead to assignments in R&D or Operations for your international assignment. The position will be mainly based in one of our production sites and strongly linked to the core of our business.

The international assignment is part of the Global Program; in the Local Program, you will take over a local role within the North American Region.

The recruitment process begins in July 2024 and will be completed by February 2025. The Graduate Program will start in March 2025.

Imagine the possibilities with the Global Build the Future Program! This unique initiative offers a 3-year International Assignment at a Prysmian location outside North America. After spending 2 years in your home country, you will be presented with the opportunity to take on a role abroad, opening up a world of new experiences and opportunities.

The Empower Your Community program will provide you with onboarding, training, and job rotations similar to the Global Program. However, you will remain in North America, changing your location within the United States and Canada. For a more in-depth look at the Empower Your Community program, click here.
