What is the SELL IT Program?

Prysmian's Sell It Program is a three-year professional sales program aligned with its values and culture.

Program Details

Our tailored onboarding program provides an in-depth introduction to Prysmian's culture, company, products, and local offerings. Through customized training, candidates will receive focused support and guidance during their initial months with the company. This program includes a comprehensive overview of specific areas, such as sales markets and product knowledge. From day one, candidates will have clear visibility into their growth path within the company.

From day one, candidates are assigned to one of our global offices and become part of our team. They will enter the Prysmian sales community, one of the most visible and relevant within the company. Given the intense focus on this community, the worldwide commercial meeting hosts those within our sales force with the best performance each year. This is an opportunity for top performers to discuss and set the company's strategy, making them integral to the company's success by meeting with key stakeholders and customers.

Candidates will participate in a three-week induction program in Milan, where they will have the opportunity to meet key managers and CEO. This induction will emphasize learning about Prysmian's culture and establishing a strong professional network. Additionally, in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management, candidates will participate in our Global Sales Academy to develop essential commercial and leadership skills.

We have established formal mentoring programs to assist candidates in building relationships with role models, mentors, and coaches. These programs include affinity groups, ad hoc meetings, and events within our sales community. They are designed to maximize potential, develop skills, improve performance, and empower candidates to become successful sales professionals.

With a presence in over 37 countries, we provide candidates the opportunity to challenge themselves professionally on an international scale. As part of a cross-functional professional network, candidates can enhance their profiles globally and contribute to the company's growth.

Key Roles

As the key responsibility, you will be tasked with developing a robust sales strategy for the assigned territory. This underscores the need for a strong customer-oriented approach and the ability to independently discuss and make effective decisions. 

Highlights: 

  • Your role will be instrumental in developing a highly effective distributor system, dealer network, and customer base for the assigned channel. 
  • You will formulate a sales strategy, forecast and budget, resource, train, and manage a sales team. 
  • Your responsibilities also include commercializing products, providing ongoing client support, growing relationships, and building a proactive understanding of their business needs. 

This role offers significant potential for professional growth and development.

As a key player in our sales process, you will be responsible for providing pre-sale and post-sale technical support to customers. Your role in helping the sales team better understand our solutions and their customers' needs is crucial. You must respond quickly, discuss and make effective decisions independently, and have a strongly customer-oriented mindset. 

Key responsibilities include developing a complete understanding of our product portfolio, offering technical support to customers and employees, giving technical guidance on sales presentations and materials, providing detailed product specs, and, most importantly, proactively finding technical solutions to client issues. Your resourcefulness will be a key asset in this role.

Key account management requires a thorough understanding of the needs of large industrial and engineering companies across various sectors to drive sales. Therefore, a strong, customer-oriented, consistently positive, passionate, and energizing approach is essential. 

Key highlights include:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of our product portfolio
  • Offering technical support to both customers and employees
  • Providing technical guidance for sales presentations and materials
  • Supplying detailed product specifications
  • Most importantly, proactively identifying technical solutions to client issues

Managing service standards for customers involves overseeing internal processes and daily interactions. I strive for innovation and maintain a positive, energizing approach while developing strong relationships with internal and external customers.
