Sum It Program Overview

SUM IT is Prysmian's five-year Professional Development Program designed to support Industrial Controllers seeking to advance their careers in the Energy Transition and Digitalization sectors.

Our goal is to recruit Industrial Controllers from around the world who are enthusiastic about supporting our business and becoming part of a diverse, global team dedicated to overseeing the operations of our plants and business units.

You will join a team in your country of employment, contributing to your local organization's success while also engaging with a global network that promotes collaboration and shared achievements.

We aspire to think big, value innovation, and are committed to fostering a greener future. Although we have achieved significant success in the past, we recognize that there is still much work to be done. That's where you come in—join us!

Program Timeline

The program begins on Day 1 with a one-week Global Induction, featuring training and activities designed to motivate and engage new hires. This induction is the result of a collaboration between Prysmian Academy and a top-ranking business school.

After the induction, your learning path continues with training courses and networking events designed to support your growth and help you reach your full potential. We aim to make you feel valued and encouraged throughout this process.

During Year 1, following your local onboarding, you will participate in training courses focused on soft skills and diversity & inclusion. These courses are intended to foster a welcoming environment and reinforce our commitment to an inclusive culture.

In Years 2 and 3, you'll engage in customized technical and advanced training courses through Prysmian Academy, in collaboration with leading business schools. Here, you will build a strong professional network and learn how to apply the skills you have developed in your work. The SUM IT journey offers even more! In your third year, you'll be assigned to a new role based on your performance, closely linked to the core of our business.

In Years 4 and 5, you'll have the opportunity to challenge yourself through engaging leadership courses that focus on performance and potential, inspiring confidence in your future development at Prysmian.
