35kV R-Stack Surge Arrester
The Prysmian 35kV R-Stack Surge Arrester offers a reliable and easy-to-install solution for protecting medium-voltage equipment and underground cables from voltage surges caused by lightning and switching transients. The 635DBA model combines a Deadbreak Elbow Surge Arrester and a Deadbreak Connecting Plug, simplifying installation by eliminating unnecessary components and saving time.
The 635DBA features gapless metal oxide varistor technology housed in a fully shielded and submersible peroxide-cured EPDM rubber casing. It includes a captive fastener, making it easy to install on standard 35 kV 600A apparatus bushings that comply with IEEE Std. 386. Additionally, a pre-installed 42” #4 AWG braided copper ground lead efficiently directs surge current to ground during system transients.
