Product description

The Click-Fit™ Dry Type Outdoor Termination (type CFT) is a reliable plug-in cable connection assembly specifically designed to connect extruded high-voltage cables to outdoor apparatus or overhead lines. This termination concept features a fully dry-type, self-supporting design that requires no oil or gas; it relies solely on solid materials, making it environmentally friendly. 

 

Application

The cable end, equipped with a Click-Fit plug, is inserted into the silicone rubber insulating body and connected using silver-plated electrical contacts. An integrated metallic grooved ring secures the plug's position using a spring-loaded bayonet mechanism. The Click-Fit plug connects to the cable through compression, MIG welding, or shear-off bolts. 

The solid composite insulator, featuring silicone sheds, protects against pollution and is designed according to the protection level specified in IEC-60815. The cable's metal sheath is electrically insulated from the steel construction by composite support insulators. The installation process uses a minimal number of components, ensuring user-friendliness while accelerating installation and reducing network outages.
