PowrServ® Low-Voltage Underground Distribution Cable
Product description

600 Volt tri-rated, lead-free, XLPE-insulated underground distribution cables are available in duplex and triplex configurations and are designed for secondary power distribution circuits. These cables are rated for a maximum conductor operating temperature of 90 °C in both wet and dry locations, and they are resistant to abrasion, impact, and sunlight. They comply with all applicable requirements of ANSI/ICEA Standard S-105-692 and UL Standard 854. 

PowrServ® cables are classified as tri-rated Type USE-2/RHH/RHW-2 and can be installed either direct buried or in ducts or conduits. The cables consist of two or three aluminum alloy phase conductors and one neutral conductor, all insulated with extruded black cross-linked polyethylene. The conductors are made from compact stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy, which is recognized by ASTM Standards B800, B801, and B836.

 

Application

This product is primarily used as a Type USE-2 direct-buried underground service entrance. It is also listed for RHH and RHW-2 applications, making it suitable for general-purpose lighting and power circuits in raceways. This multiple listing provides installers with a distinct advantage: they can purchase a single product suitable for installation on both sides of the service point when the point is located within the building envelope.
