USEB90 (Canada)
USEB90 is a three-conductor cable that consists of two aluminum phase conductors, which are insulated with low-temperature, moisture-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. This type of insulation offers a good balance of flexibility and mechanical toughness. Additionally, the cable features a concentrically applied, uninsulated neutral conductor, binder tape, and an overall PVC jacket, all arranged in parallel.
Conductor: Two Class B Compact conductors made from aluminum alloy 1350, compliant with ASTM standards.
Insulation: High dielectric strength, low-temperature cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, providing an optimal balance of mechanical and electrical properties to ensure an extended cable life.
Assembly: A full or reduced copper neutral conductor is helically applied over the parallel phase conductors, followed by a binder tape over the neutral conductor.
Jacket: A black, low-temperature polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket is extruded over the assembly.
