ECOSAFE® CO II
Product description

Central Office Power Cable, Class I and K, is a flexible cable made with tinned copper strands without a braid. It features a low-smoke, zero-halogen, and silicone-free composite insulation. The cable is rated for use at 105°C when dry and 90°C when wet. It is UL Listed as RHW-2/USE-2, and meets FT4/ST1 and VW-1 standards. The cable is also resistant to oil and sunlight, suitable for both wet and dry conditions, and rated for 600 volts. Sizes 1/0 and larger are UL- and CT-use rated. Additionally, it is CSA RW90 compliant and meets the same oil, sunlight, and 600-volt voltage resistance standards.

 

Construction

Conductors: Class I and K stranded, tinned copper that meets ASTM B-33, B-172, and UL requirements. An opaque Mylar tape is applied over the conductor to facilitate stripping. 

Insulation: The insulation is heat and moisture-resistant, low-smoke, non-halogen, and made from a composite material that conforms to UL Standard 44, CSA Standard 22.2, Telcordia Specification GR-347-CORE, and ATIS Specification 0600017. 

Surface Marking: The cable is marked with the following information: “ORIGIN USA PRYSMIAN ECOSAFE®-CO II™ CABLE-T (MONTH/YEAR) PN [part number] List 2 'TCOPC' # [conductor size AWG or kcmil] CU NON-HALOGEN 600V FT4 ST1 SR *CT” (for sizes 1/0 AWG and larger), "VW1 60C Wet 90C Dry Sun Res" or "RHW-2 600V FT4 ST1 VW1 PRII (UL)" or "AWM Style 3578 105C" or "CSA RW90 XL 600V FT4 ST1 90°C -40°C" or "AWM I A/B 105°C."
