Product description

TC7 HDPE duct is designed for applications where enhanced physical and corrosion protection for cables is necessary, especially in direct burial situations. This duct is suitable for various uses, including highway lighting, airport lighting, parking lots, sports complexes, and utility applications. It can accommodate power, telephone, fiber, and CATV cables. The duct is shipped with sealed ends to prevent moisture and contaminants from entering. 

TC7 duct can be provided in different configurations: empty, with a pull line, or with Draka Cableteq cables preinstalled. The available conductors include THHN/THWN, EPR-USE, XHHW-2, RHH/RHW-2, XLP-USE, L-824B or C airport lighting cables, fiber-optic cables, twisted-pair and coaxial communication cables, aluminum conductors, and medium-voltage cables.

 

Specifications and Ratings

  • ASTM D3485 – Standard specification for smooth wall coilable polyethylene (PE) conduit (duct) for preassembled wire and cable
  • HDPE meets the requirements (Class C, Grade PE33) of ASTM D3350 – Standard specification for polyethylene plastics pipe and fittings material 

 

Design Parameters 

Duct: High density polyethylene (HDPE) meeting ASTM D3350 with Schedule 40 wall thickness. 

Color: Black, although custom colors or extruded stripes can be ordered.
