Prysmian's Type RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cable is designed for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. These cables can be installed in both wet and dry locations, indoors or outdoors, and are suitable for use in raceways, underground ducts (inquire about our preinstalled cable-in-conduit products), aerial installations, or direct burial. 

Our Type RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cable complies with NEC requirements for continuous operation at up to 90°C in both wet and dry environments. It can withstand 130°C during emergency overload conditions and 250 °C under short-circuit conditions.

 

Design Parameters

Conductors: Class B, soft-drawn bare copper, compliant with ASTM B3 and ASTM B8. Both tinned copper conductors and extra-flexible conductors are available as options.

Insulation: Made from heat and moisture-resistant ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), meeting the standards of ICEA S-95-658 (NEMA WC 70), UL 44 for Type RHH and RHW-2 wires, and UL 854 for Type USE-2. This insulation is suitable for use in both wet and dry locations, with a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C for normal operation.

Assembly: Single-conductor cables can be paralleled or multiplexed for more efficient installations and can also be pre-installed in conduit.
