AIRGUARD® XP Fiber Optic Cable (Canada)

AIRGUARD® XP offers exceptional mechanical protection, chemical resistance, and a user-friendly design in a durable family of industrial optical fiber cables. It complements Prysmian’s existing AIRGUARD® low-voltage and medium-voltage cable ranges. 

In harsh industrial environments, aggressive chemicals like hydrocarbons, solvents, acids, and bases can damage traditional fiber cables. However, AIRGUARD® XP is specifically designed to endure these challenging conditions, surpassing the stringent UL 2556 requirements for oil and gasoline resistance. 

Moreover, AIRGUARD® XP matches the impact and crush resistance of interlocking armored cables. Unlike metal interlocking armor, which tends to be stiff, heavy, and requires grounding, the all-dielectric versions of AIRGUARD® XP avoid these issues. This allows them to be installed alongside copper communication or power cables in trays or ladders, providing enhanced flexibility and ease of use.
