Prysmian and Draka EHC Return to NAEC Convention to Showcase Elevator and Escalator Expertise

Prysmian, the leading provider of solutions for energy and digital connections, will showcase its latest Draka EHC vertical transportation solutions at the 2026 National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) Convention & Expo at Booth #702, September 28-October 1 in Chicago. 

This year’s exhibit will feature Draka EHC’s recently launched UL-approved Cat 6A traveling cables, available in both round and flat designs. Developed to meet increasingly sophisticated communications requirements of modern elevator systems, the Cat 6A cables deliver speeds of up to 10 Gb/s and 500 MHz bandwidth. Shielded pairs help reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while standard RJ-45 termination simplifies integration with a range of devices. The cables meet NEC Type ETT and ANSI/TIA standards, with the Super-Flex® round configuration backed by a lifetime warranty. 

These Cat 6A solutions build on Draka EHC’s broader portfolio of products designed to support safe, reliable and long-term elevator and escalator operation.

In addition to the products on display, Prysmian and Draka EHC experts will participate in two educational sessions during the convention. On Tuesday, September 29, from 3:15-4:30 p.m., Prysmian’s Susan VanVleet will moderate “Elevating Through Change,” featuring panelists Greg DeCola of Van Deusen & Associates, Kendra Glenn of BTS Elevator Packages, Morgan Jones of Hyperion Solutions, and Rob Masterson of Perlen Steel. 

On Wednesday, September 30, from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Nicola Imbimbo of Prysmian Draka EHC will present “Strength Through Time: The Legacy and Best Practices of Wire Rope.”
