Prysmian to Showcase Complete Lifeline® Cable System at the 2026 NFPA Conference & Expo
Prysmian, the world’s largest cable and wire manufacturer, will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of Lifeline® fire-resistive cable systems at the 2026 NFPA Conference & Expo® taking place June 22-24 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prysmian's Lifeline product family helps maintain essential power and communication systems during fire events. Utilizing advanced ceramifiable silicone technology, Lifeline cable systems are engineered to continue operating under extreme fire conditions, helping support emergency communications, emergency power and other essential building functions when they are needed most.
“Our Lifeline solutions have helped set the standard for fire-resistive cable performance across North America,” said Arjun Srinivasan, Market Manager- Fire Protection and Nuclear, Prysmian North America. “From large-scale transit networks to healthcare facilities and commercial landmarks, our systems have been deployed in environments where fire survivability is essential. Today, we're proud to offer one of the industry's most comprehensive fire-resistive cable portfolios, delivering proven performance across a wide range of critical applications."
At booth #339, Prysmian will showcase its complete Lifeline System, including:
- U.S. Lifeline MC and MC LSZH Jacketed Resistive Cables – Available in one- and two-hour fire-resistive configurations, these cables are designed to meet UL 2196 requirements for fire-resistive cables and are classified under Electrical Circuit Integrity Systems (FHIT) No. 50 and No. 50A.
- U.S. Lifeline RHW-2 Fire-Resistive Cables – Installed in EMT conduit and BreathSaver® XW Phenolic Conduit systems, these cables exceed UL 44 requirements for thermoset-insulated wires and are rated for 600 volts with operating temperatures up to 90°C in both wet and dry environments. The system also provides a two-hour fire-resistance rating at 480 volts, supporting critical circuit integrity during emergency conditions.
- Fire-Resistant QFCI Optical Fiber Cable – The first UL flame-listed optical cable designed for indoor and outdoor use in critical communication and emergency systems. It remains operational during a fire, functioning for more than three hours at temperatures reaching up to 1000°C.
- Canada Lifeline RC90 and RC90 LSZH Jacketed Resistive Cables – Available in one- and two-hour fire-resistive configurations, these cables are designed to meet ULC-S139 requirements for fire-resistive cables and are classified under Electrical Circuit Integrity Systems (FHIT7) No. 51 and No. 51A.
Visitors attending the 2026 NFPA Conference & Expo are encouraged to stop by Booth #339 to learn more about Prysmian's Lifeline fire-resistive cable systems and speak with company experts about fire safety, code compliance and system design considerations.
