UC Davis Medical, PanGen Share 2020 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Award

UC Davis Medical Center was recognized today with a Platinum Cabling Innovators Award for their ongoing technology upgrades and network infrastructure projects at the hospital. The award is the highest level presented in Cabling Installation & Maintenance magazine’s annual competition. Infrastructure companies Panduit and Prysmian Group share this award with UC Davis as the exclusive suppliers of networking cabling infrastructure to the hospital for 14 years.

UC Davis relies on ever-advancing technology to support patient care, including video visits and telehealth services. UC Davis has been recognized by the US News & World Report as one of the nation’s best hospitals in a number of medical specialties and placed at the highest level in the annual CHIME “Healthcare’s Most Wired” survey.

UC Davis Data Center Architect Lopaka Gaspar said the Cabling Innovators Awards adds to the hospital’s distinction as a leader in medical technology. “This recognition highlights UC Davis Health IT as a leader in the healthcare information technology industry and validates the investments and designs of our IT systems improving outcomes for our clinicians and patients,” Gaspar says. “Having great partners like Prysmian Group and Panduit helps us achieve this type of recognition.”
