Social Ambition

Prysmian aims to create a more equal, inclusive, and innovative world, starting with its employees and extending beyond. These commitments have been translated into specific targets that the company aims to meet by 2030, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Strengthening our Commitment

At Prysmian, we are dedicated to promoting a culture that values diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to create a trustworthy environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. We believe that embracing diversity not only enhances our individual growth but also strengthens our company as a whole.

Some recent initiatives that have positively impacted our employees include:

  • Paid parental leave for all new parents in North America, regardless of gender or family structure.
  • Efforts to promote pay equity, ensuring fair compensation for all employees, regardless of race or gender.
  • Remote and flexible working options for professionals.
  • Scholarships for employees and their dependents, tuition reimbursement for employees pursuing further education, and scholarships specifically for women studying in STEM fields.

2030 Themes & Targets

Aim to reduce the injury rate for employees and self-employed professionals to nearly zero.

  • Achieve gender equality in professional workforce recruitment, targeting a 50% male and 50% female ratio.
  • Ensure that women make up 30% of senior leadership positions.
  • Aim for women to represent 25% of the total workforce.
  • Increase the number of women in STEM fields by more than 500 through a dedicated STEM program.
  • Eliminate the pay gap in the white-collar workforce.
  • Increase the percentage of executives from under-represented nationalities, ethnic groups, or origins to over 30%. 
  • Launch local mentoring programs for 500 students from minority backgrounds or those living in poverty.
  • Commit to at least one project each year to vulnerable communities. 
  • Support local initiatives through in-kind donations.

Engage 100% of employees through global platforms while ensuring adequate adoption of tools.

  • Provide all employees with 40 hours of specialized training annually.
  • Enroll over 25% of employees in mobility and professional growth tracks each year.
  • Achieve a 50% participation rate among permanent employees in share ownership (YES) plans.
  •  Increase the participation rate in the Engagement Survey to over 80%.
  • Raise the Leadership Impact Index to between 70% and 80%.
