Diversity & Inclusion

At Prysmian, we value diversity and actively promote a workplace culture that recognizes the importance of an inclusive workforce. We are committed to embracing the unique qualities of our employees, which include differences in age, gender, marital status, race or ethnicity, nationality, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, social and educational background, as well as family and caregiving responsibilities.

In line with ILO Convention No. 111, Prysmian is dedicated to creating a safe working environment that is free from all forms of discrimination, violence, and harassment. This includes zero tolerance for sexual or any other type of discrimination based on personal, political, or cultural diversity. We prioritize the safety and well-being of all our employees.

If any form of discrimination occurs, it will be addressed with zero tolerance at Prysmian. We are committed to treating all our employees with dignity, respect, and fairness. We expect everyone to uphold these values in their conduct, reflecting the core principles of our company.

Health & Safety

Prysmian's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy prioritizes providing working conditions that meet health and safety standards, ensuring a safe environment for all employees.

In accordance with ILO Conventions Nos. 148, 155, and 176, it is essential to eliminate diseases and both mental and physical conditions that could compromise health, as these are directly related to workplace safety and hygiene. Additionally, it is important to ensure that excessive noise, air pollution, or vibrations are not present.

Moreover, Prysmian is committed to preventing any fatalities, injuries, or illnesses that could affect workers, the public, or the environment arising from its operations.

Working Conditions

At Prysmian, our contracts are designed to ensure fairness and security for all parties involved. Each contract includes clearly written employment agreements that outline the agreed-upon terms and conditions, including notice periods for both parties.

We are committed to upholding ILO Convention No. 122, which guarantees that every employee has the opportunity to develop and apply their skills in a suitable job. This commitment reflects our dedication to providing opportunities for skill development and application.

Additionally, we respect the working hours established by national laws and industry standards, showing our appreciation for our employees' time and dedication.

Freedom of Association, Collective Bargaining & Employee Voice

Prysmian is dedicated to maintaining an open and constructive dialogue with its employees and their representatives. By adopting ILO Conventions Nos. 87, 98, and 154, employees have the right to engage in collective bargaining in accordance with applicable national laws. This allows them to negotiate their working conditions and regulate the implementation of collective agreements.

Forced, Bonded & Compulsory Labor

Prysmian is committed to ensuring voluntary employment for all its employees. The company strictly prohibits any form of forced, bonded, or compulsory labor, in accordance with ILO Conventions No. 29 and 105. This ban on forced labor includes practices such as human trafficking, threats to workers involving severe deprivations (such as withholding passports or other identification documents, food, land, or wages), physical violence, sexual abuse, and coercing workers through debt bondage.
