Prysmian Group North America Announces New Abbeville County Expansion
Manufacturing Company Investing $14 Million in Facility Growth.
Prysmian Group North America, a leading manufacturer of low, medium and extra-high voltage electrical cables, is once again expanding its existing operations in Abbeville County. The expansion will result in an additional $14 million of capital investment and lead to the creation of 10 new jobs.
Prysmian Group North America is increasing its product manufacturing capacity at its Abbeville facility, which is located on S.C. Highway 28. A world leader in sustainability, Prysmian will be expanding the facility and purchasing additional equipment to fulfill future renewable energy projects, such as wind farm operations. This facility was the first to produce extra-high voltage cables in North America, and the company plans to continue investing in high-tech, high value-added sectors.
