A2EX 494NE Series

Brass cable glands for both indoor and outdoor use are designed for hazardous areas. They are compatible with circular unarmored cables that have an extruded oversheath. Each gland is fitted with a silicone rubber seal that is low-smoke and zero-halogen. These glands provide an IP66 and IP68 (1 bar) protection rating and ensure a deluge-proof seal (as per DTS01:1991) on both the cable and the enclosure when used with a suitable sealing washer or thread sealant. 

These cable glands are suitable for various climatic conditions, being weatherproof, waterproof, and deluge-proof. They are available in standard and nickel-plated versions. 

Certifications include II 2GD, Ex e II, and Ex d IIC under the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU (Certificate number Sira99ATEX1086X) and IECEx 10.0069X. They are also CSA (C/US) certified for Class 1 Zone 1, AEx de IIC, and AEx tD (CSA 1100772X). Additionally, they are appropriate for use in Class 1 Division 2 areas as specified by NEC 501.5. 

The service temperature range for these cable glands is from -50°C to +200°C, and complete installation instructions are included.
