CCW® Armored Cable for Hazardous Locations

Prysmian's CCW® Continuously Corrugated Welded Cable product line provides the ideal solution for power, control, instrumentation, and communications in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. These cables are available in voltage ratings from 300 volts to 35 kV and are not only resistant but also completely impervious to gas, liquids, and vapors. This makes them the top choice for hazardous locations and demonstrates their exceptional durability.

The CCW® cables are approved for use in various hazardous locations, including Class I, II, and III, Divisions 1 and 2, and Class I, Zones 1 and 2, in accordance with NEC Articles 501, 502, and 503. This approval highlights the product line's unparalleled versatility and adaptability.

Prysmian's Duralox® armored control and power cables are designed with a flame-retardant, sunlight-resistant, and moisture-resistant PVC jacket that encases aluminum interlocked armor, ensuring exceptional long-term performance. This durability and reliability are hallmarks of our cables. Our Duralox® Uniblend® armored cables feature an extruded strand shield, which includes a thermoset semi-conducting layer over the conductor to protect it from stress, along with an extruded insulation shield. Available options range from 600 V to 35 kV, making these cable assemblies suitable for a variety of installations in both wet and dry locations—indoors or outdoors, and for both exposed and concealed applications.

Prysmian Duralox® Armored Control and Power Cables

TECK90 Armored and Control Cable

Prysmian’s TECK90 Armored and Control Cable is designed for safe use in hazardous locations and features certified HL cable glands per the Canadian Electrical Code. It is a cost-effective alternative to conduit installation and can be used in dry, damp, or wet environments. The cable features lightweight aluminum interlocked armor and a PVC jacket.

Our VERTITECK® TECK90 cable also includes an inner PVC jacket under galvanized steel armor, with longitudinal raised ribs for added durability. This design allows it to support its weight during vertical installations, reinforced by copper conductors.
