Onshore Cables

OVERVIEW

Safe, Compliant & Quality Cost-effective Solutions

Discover Prysmian's cutting-edge cable systems designed for onshore upstream oil and gas applications. Our innovative solutions cater to land drilling rigs, wellhead connections, and industrial tray cable applications, all while meeting UL and CSA standards for flexibility and reliability.

Offshore & Onshore Cable Systems Portfolio

Prysmian's IEEE 1580 Type P cables are specifically designed to maintain the operational integrity of mission-critical equipment in the harshest environments of both upstream offshore and onshore oil and gas drilling rigs, as well as Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs) and Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSOs). These cables are engineered with resistance to mud and oil to enhance safety and productivity. Our IEEE 1580 Type P product line includes flexible unarmored, armored, and sheathed cables for signal, control, low voltage, and AC variable frequency drive (VFD) applications.

Prysmian's AIRGUARD® polymeric armored cable replaces outdated interlocked, continuously corrugated, and welded (CCW) cables. AIRGUARD cables are more robust and offer smaller bend radii and greater flexibility compared to Type MC-HL cables. With its durable polymeric AIR BAG™ armor and chemical barrier protection, this cable is ideal for harsh environmental conditions. AIRGUARD is available in medium-voltage, low-voltage, instrumentation, and VFD cable constructions. Cables listed as Type MC-HL are approved for use in Class I Division 1 and Zone 1 applications.

In today's fast-paced world, customers are in search of innovative solutions to meet the rising demands they encounter, including the need for reduced construction and installation costs, alongside enhanced reliability and safety for both people and machinery. Prysmian’s AIRGUARD® cable rises to this challenge, offering a versatile range of options in High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, Instrumentation, and Fiber Optic constructions.

Focus on

Medium Voltage Cables

Medium voltage cables, which range from 6 to 36 kV, are essential for power transmission applications. They connect equipment that requires significant power in refineries, pipelines, and various midstream and downstream facilities. Prysmian offers a wide selection of medium voltage cables, designed to meet industry standards and fulfill customer needs.

Focus on

Instrumentation Cables

Instrumentation cables play a crucial role in transmitting digital or analog signals for measurement and process control applications in fixed installations, such as refineries, pipelines, and other midstream and downstream facilities.

Prysmian recognizes that each project is unique. Therefore, we provide a wide range of instrumentation cables with various design options. This flexibility enables customers to select the solution that best meets their specific standards and requirements, giving them greater control.

Focus on

Fiber Optic Cables

Fiber-optic cables are essential for providing high-bandwidth, high-speed data connections crucial for both inland and offshore safety communication systems and emergency response efforts. These cables are designed to function reliably even in the event of fires or other emergencies.

Prysmian's fiber optic cables are more than just a product; they represent a complete solution. They are carefully engineered and rigorously tested to endure temperatures of up to 1,000°C for over three hours, ensuring dependable performance in the most critical situations.
