Prysmian Returns as Presenting Sponsor for the 2026 Flying Pig Marathon, Celebrating Four Consecutive Years of Support
Prysmian, the world’s largest cable and wire manufacturer based in the Cincinnati region, returns as Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 Flying Pig Marathon Weekend, taking place May 1–3, 2026 in downtown Cincinnati. Now in its fourth consecutive year as a Presenting Sponsor, Prysmian continues to play a leading role in one of the region’s most celebrated community events, which culminates in the Flying Pig Marathon and features a full weekend of races and activities for participants of all ages and abilities.
Prysmian, locally headquartered in Highland Heights, Kentucky, has deep roots in the Greater Cincinnati region and remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote health, wellness, and community engagement. The company’s continued partnership with the Flying Pig Marathon reflects its broader investment in the communities where its employees live and work.
“At Prysmian, our connection to the Cincinnati community runs deep, and the Flying Pig Marathon is a powerful example of what unites us and what makes this region so special,” said Andrea Pirondini, CEO of Prysmian North America. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of an event that brings people together, celebrates perseverance, and promotes well-being across our region. Looking forward to another great race this Sunday!”
An avid runner, Pirondini recently completed the 130th Annual Boston Marathon and will lace up once again for the Flying Pig Marathon, marking his fourth consecutive year running the race alongside Prysmian employees and thousands of participants from across the country.
Throughout Flying Pig Marathon Weekend, Prysmian will have a strong presence, including branding on the official lead car and finish line clocks. Runners can also look for the Prysmian Pace Team, which helps participants achieve their race goals by maintaining steady pacing throughout the course. In addition, Prysmian will host the Prysmian Power Hub at the P&G Health and Fitness Expo, offering a space for runners and attendees to recharge and connect.
This year, Prysmian also partnered with Fleet Feet Cincinnati, the official training partner of the Flying Pig, to sponsor The 2026 20:12 Celebration, the last long run of the 2026 Flying Pig Training Season.
The Flying Pig Marathon Weekend draws tens of thousands of participants and spectators each year, generating significant economic and community impact across the Greater Cincinnati region.
