For mining applications that require flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures, oils, chemicals, moisture, and abrasion, Prysmian offers industrial cord products that meet or exceed OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant industry standards, including UL and CSA. 

 

Our CAROL® line of industrial cord products features heavy-duty single-conductor and multi-conductor cords designed for both temporary and permanent power applications. These cords prioritize flexibility and durability, making them suitable for demanding environments. This line includes Type W, Type G, Type G-GC, and Welding cables, all engineered to withstand the daily challenges of harsh mining conditions while maintaining usability in extremely cold and hot temperatures.

Industrial-Grade Portable Cables

Carol industrial-grade portable cables deliver cost-effective and reliable performance throughout their lifespan for power and control applications where they are not subject to high flexing or physical abuse. These cables are suitable for low-flex, stationary, and non-critical uses. Carol mining cables provide a rugged and dependable option while offering significant cost savings. 

 

Featuring a heavy-duty, single-layer, CV-cured thermoset jacket, these cables exceed performance requirements for standard applications, including pumps, belt drives, battery packs, and other general-purpose uses. Our industrial-grade cables are fully certified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. and the Canadian Standards Association. Additionally, many of our products meet or surpass the requirements set forth by MSHA and other relevant industry standards.
