In this episode of The Reel Advantage, Anna Wright, VP of Marketing and Communications, and Jon Compher, National Account Manager – Industrial & Construction, sat down with Brian Moriarty, SVP of Sales for Industrial & Construction at Prysmian North America, and Travis Starnes, Industrial Products Senior Manager for Industrial & Construction at Prysmian North America, to chat about the success of the Prysmian | Encore Wire partnership and dive into some of the new things ahead for CAROL® wire and cable products.

Embracing the Encore Wire Legacy

Moriarty has been with Prysmian for over 18 years, most recently spearheading the commercial integration of Prysmian and Encore Wire

Nearly two years ago, many decisions had to be made about how to execute the Encore integration. One thing was clear, however: Encore's service level needed to remain.

That’s why Prysmian immediately invested in a listening mindset – learning from Encore’s model and limiting disruptions in an already well-oiled machine by:

  • Embracing Encore’s legacy sales agencies
  • Expanding the Service Center by 190,000 square feet
  • Centralizing Prysmian’s cord and electronics products to centralize material and streamline service levels

“The customers that have gone on that journey with us are seeing service levels they’ve never seen from Prysmian,” said Moriarty.

CAROL: 70 Years and Beyond

For over 70 years, Prysmian’s CAROL brand has been a staple in the wire and cable industry.

With the Encore Wire acquisition, CAROL cord and electronics products have been centralized within our McKinney service center. Made Right Here in Manchester and Lincoln, Rhode Island, products are shipped to McKinney for distribution alongside Encore’s suite of building wire products.

“When you bring together Encore and Prysmian with the CAROL brand, we’re really able to go to the marketplace differently now,” Starnes said.

As the CAROL products continue to evolve – with MTW, TFF, AWM, and CSA TEW – they’re now available in stripes and with barrel pack solutions for quick shipping directly from Prysmian | Encore Wire’s McKinney campus.

This summer, Prysmian’s CAROL products will help power the 2026 FIFA World Cup in locations across the U.S., powering vendors’ setups and the giant lights seen around the venues. “It’s a major opportunity for us to be a part of something on such a big stage,” said Starnes. “They’re going to roll this stuff up from site to site, so you’ll be able to see it anywhere.”

Continued Partnership

The Prysmian | Encore Wire partnership represents a blend of two companies that truly netted superior results. With higher service levels, a stronger customer focus and more product offerings, we're building momentum to better serve our customers.

Reflecting on the Prysmian | Encore Wire partnership, Moriarty believes there’s still work to be done, but ultimately, we’re on the right path: “One thing we can’t forget to do is honor what we’ve done so far and stay on that path.”
