Prysmian offers a comprehensive range of Elaspeed™ splices designed for 5-35kV applications.
Our Elaspeed™ splices utilize advanced cold shrink EPDM technology, similar to that used in medium-voltage cables, and are highly regarded as the leading "delivery system" for medium-voltage cable accessories. This solution is simple, robust, reliable, user-friendly, safe, and flexible, requiring no special tools or torches. The cold shrinking process ensures proper concentric splice recovery.
Additionally, the Elaspeed™ Compact Series provides 20-25% space savings for installations in confined areas. All Elaspeed splices comply with IEEE 404 specifications.
ColdFit™ Terminations
ColdFit™ Terminations
Prysmian introduces a new line of indoor and outdoor polymer terminations designed for 5 kV, 15 kV, 25/28 kV, and 35 kV applications. The ColdFit™ outdoor PCT (with sheds) and indoor PICT (without sheds) are medium voltage cold shrink polymer terminations that offer fast, easy, and reliable installation.
Our ColdFit™ terminations not only deliver high performance but are also cost-effective. The unique design allows the termination to shrink evenly around the cable as the inner support core is removed, with an integrated top mastic water seal. This means there is no complicated assembly or heat required, saving you time and resources. Simply pull out the support core, and the termination will shrink to create a tight, void-free interface with the cable, ensuring a superior moisture seal.
All Prysmian PCT and PICT terminations meet and exceed the stringent requirements of the IEEE Standard 48 for Class 1 specifications, guaranteeing the highest quality and reliability. They are designed to operate continuously at 105°C, in compliance with industry standards.

Deadbreak Elbows
Prysmian's 600/900 Amp Deadbreak Elbow (5-28kV, 35kV) and its accessories provide a reliable and straightforward solution for terminating and splicing main feeder circuits. The Deadbreak Elbow, also known as a "T Body," features a fully shielded, molded EPDM rubber connector that utilizes a high-torque bolted connection. Its robust design is ideal for circuits with high loads and fault currents, instilling confidence in its performance. Our Deadbreak Elbows are compatible with solid dielectric cables (XLPE or EPR), which have semi-conductive and neutral shielding. This accessory can be installed on cables with or without an outer jacket.
