NUAL® Aluminum Alloy Building Wire

NUAL® Product Offering 

AC90 Cable 

NUAL AC90 cable with interlocked aluminum armor is designed for above-ground applications. Its distinctive features provide significant savings in installation cost and time. Engineered to replace conduit and wire applications, this all-in-one cable offers fewer installation steps. The cable’s interlocked aluminum armor protects the conductors from damage before, during, and after installation and provides overall flexibility not available with a conduit. 

NUAL AC90 is a factory-produced 600-volt cable consisting of one to four insulated, phase-identified NUAL ACM conductors and one bare bonding conductor inside flexible interlocked aluminum armor. Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulated conductors are rated for 90°C. 

Multi-conductor AC90 cables are available in sizes 6 AWG to 750 kcmil. Single-conductor AC90 cables are available in sizes 1/0 AWG to 750 kcmil but are not approved for use in hazardous locations. The bonding conductor is applied concentrically around the phase conductor on single-conductor cables.

NUAL AC90 cables meet or exceed the requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 38 and C22.2 No. 51 and are approved for use by the recommendations of the Canadian Electrical Code. 

ACWU90 Cable 

NUAL® ACWU90 cable with interlocked aluminum armor and a PVC sheath is designed for direct burial in ground, concrete, wet and damp locations. The PVC sheath makes this cable assembly durable and sturdy, and is certified for use in outdoor locations. 

The distinctive characteristics of the NUAL ACWU90 cable can save significant time and reduce installation costs. Designed to replace wire applications in conduit, this all-in-one cable is a cost-effective solution. ACWU90 is also more flexible than a conduit; the interlocked aluminum armor protects against damage that may occur before, during, or after installation. 

NUAL ACWU90 is manufactured in a Global Center of Excellence for aluminum building wire and cables, comprising one to four 90°C wet-rated, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated NUAL ACM conductors and one bare bonding conductor. ACWU90 multi-conductor cables are available in various sizes from 6 AWG to 1000 kcmil, while ACWU90 single-core cables are offered in sizes from 1 AWG to 1000 kcmil. All sizes are RoHS-compliant and CSA-approved. 

NUAL ACWU90 cables meet or exceed the requirements of CSA 22.2 No. 38 and CSA 22.2 No. 51. and are approved for use in accordance with the recommendations of the Canadian Electrical Code. Thanks to its FT4 and AG14 PVC sheath, which is resistant to humidity, the NUAL ACWU90 cable also meets the requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 174 for hazardous locations and the FT4 vertical flame propagation test on insulated conductors or cables. 

RW90 Easy Glider® HS Cable 

NUAL® RW90 single-conductor aluminum alloy cable is designed for general-purpose residential, commercial, and industrial wiring applications. As with all NUAL aluminum alloy building wire, these products are of the highest quality, providing outstanding performance and offering tremendous flexibility. 

NUAL RW90 cables meet or exceed the requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 38 and are approved for use according to the recommendations of the Canadian Electrical Code. With a rating of 600 volts, NUAL RW90 can be installed in enclosed raceways in both wet and dry locations and is designed for use as a service feeder or branch circuit. Standard RW90 may be pulled into underground ducts, but it is not approved for direct burial. 

NUAL RW90 consists of a single aluminum alloy conductor with cross-linked polyethylene insulation. RW90 is available in multiple forms, including an optional CSA-certified PVC outer covering. 

RWU90 Easy Glider® HS Cable 

NUAL RWU90 single-conductor aluminum alloy cable is designed for general-purpose residential, commercial, and industrial wiring applications. As with all NUAL aluminum alloy building wire, these products offer tremendous flexibility. 

NUAL RWU90 cables meet or exceed the requirements of CSA C22.2 No. 38. With a rating of 1000 volts, NUAL RWU90 cables can be installed in enclosed raceways in both wet and dry locations and are designed for use as service feeders or branch circuits. RWU90 is approved for direct burial, ensuring its durability. The Canadian Electrical Code should be consulted for limitations concerning the burial depth, required additional protection, and conductor-to-conductor spacing. 

NUAL RWU90 consists of a single aluminum alloy conductor with cross-linked polyethylene insulation. The XLPE insulation on the RWU90 conductor is thicker than that on the RW90 conductor. An optional CSA-certified PVC jacket is also available upon request.
