Federico Butti

PLANT MANAGER, ARGENTINA

What do you  do at Prysmian?

I am currently in charge of the Plant Manager position in La Rosa Factory, Argentina. Among my responsibilities, I am in charge of the whole Production of the factory (Energy and Telecom Optical), Investments and Installations, the Maintenance department (machinery and buildings), the Quality Testing Laboratories, the Process department and the Industrial Improvement department.

3 adjectives to describe your experience  at Prysmian Group

Challenging: one of the most important qualities in a job. The only way to grow as a person and as a professional is to face continuous challenges throughout your career and Prysmian Group gave me that opportunity.

Multicultural: another pillar of personal and professional growth. Getting in touch with different cultures and different ways of seeing things, by working first in Italy, then Turkey and nowadays in Argentina (working on a daily basis with people all around the world) opened my mind, and an open mind is the key of success.

Dynamic: dealing with the Shopfloor is dynamic by definition. New necessities/issues/challenges come up every day, and the scenario changes on a daily basis and this makes learning a never ending story.

What do you like most about Prysmian?

The knowhow of  people you meet every day and their passion and commitment in everything they do. It’s really inspiring.

What is the best thing about your job?

The challenges that I have to face every day, which bring me to deal with all the functions of the company.

Every day I learn something new, there is never time to get bored!

Why would you recommend Prysmian to a young talent?

Working in this dynamic, multicultural and challenging environment is so stimulating, and really gives you the opportunity to prove and push yourself and therefore grow.

And Prysmian is really keen on giving opportunities to those who want to face challenges.
